Products I Loved: I'm liking my Laura Mercier Artist Palette and RBR eyeshadows, and I'm sad to reach the end of my sample of Pai Rosehip Oil. That is definitely on my to purchase list!

Beauty Purchases: Thanks to gift cards, I ordered Dior Addict Lip Gloss in Exquise from the Spring 2014 colleciton, Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask, and Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation. Can't wait to try the new KGD formula and the new releases!

Added to the Wishlist: Dior Fusion Mono Matte eyeshadows from the Spring 2014 collection, Guerlain Spring 2014 blush, Clinique's neutral eyeshadow palette, Chanel Le Blanc... and a pile of new releases on Sephora's site including Boscia Tsubaki Hydration Mask, and a set of Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Waters.

This week seemed to have gone by so fast! Or was it just me? In any event, I didn't wear much aside from a bit of foundation and Laura Mercier Caviar sticks.

How about you? What makeup did you wear this week?

Posts This Week:  Foundation Sampling: RBR & YSL // Osmia Organics Facial Calibration Serum // Love It or Toss It, #4 // Cozy Up with Lush Twilight Shower Gel

Products I Loved: It has only been two days but I seriously love the Diptyque Pine Bark candle. Seriously love the scent, and it is perfect for the holiday season.

Beauty Purchases: Got some candles - possible Diptyque Pine Bark dupes, and spent the remainder of my Sephora store credit on the Laura Mercier Artist Palette. I didn't think I wanted this palette but I actually quite liked a few of the shades, and perhaps I had a moment of panic when I realized that it isn't even listed on the Sephora website anymore. LOL. I did a little shopping on Beautyhabit with a 20% off code, and managed to snag the aforementioned Diptyque Pine Bark and Sunday Riley Breathable Tinted Primer for 30% off. :) Time to stop shopping for the rest of the year/my life? Lol.

Added to the Wishlist: Danielle over at Bloomin' Beauty loves the Bare Minerals Round the Clock eyeliners, and from one swatch I can see why. Creamy, black, and relatively inexpensive, this one is at the top of my list. Hopefully my eyes can handle it! I also am wanting Hourglass Lipstick in Nocturnal and Dior Addict Lipstick in Black Tie. Groan!

What did you love or lust after this week? I'd love to know what was on your radar! :)

I wasn't as successful this week at wearing makeup as last week. Sad. Guess I was feeling more tired and headache-y again, so I hope I'm not getting sick!

Here's a peek at what I did manage to wear!

Rouge Bunny Rouge Eclipse Eagle Eyeshadow, Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle Foundation Sample, Givenchy Healthy Glow Powder in Ambre Croisiere, Clinique Superfine Liner for Brows in 02 Soft Brown, Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Liner in 02 Brown

Posts this Week: My Lush Favorites & Giveaway // Hydrate with Dr. Ci:Labo // Cold Weather Lip Balm: Osmia Organics Luster // October Beauty Purchases

Products I Loved: My Rouge Bunny Rouge arrived, and I'm sure it will be love. But it is too early yet to rave!

Product Disappointments: The lovely Gummy sent me her mini Diptyque Mimosa candle that she recently purchased, and I hate to say that it isn't all that great. There isn't much scent, which is very unlike the other Diptyque I've tried, and what scent I can discern (some unknown floral note?) isn't all that great and doesn't smell like mimosas either? This one has left me confused! Edit: Apparently mimosas are a flower and they are just not my kind of scent!

Beauty Purchases: With the Sephora VIB sale winding down, I bit the bullet and ordered a few things I had been considering: Edward Bess Bronzer in Daydream, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eyeshadow Stick in Bark, and the perfume gift sets from L'artisan Parfumeur and Atelier Cologne. I hope I like them all, though I'm quite picky about perfumes so who knows how I'll fare with those!

Added to the Wishlist: Pretty much the entire contents of the Beautyhabit and Space NK holiday catalogs. Some of the highlights - more Rouge Bunny Rouge, The Laundress Wool & Cashmere Spray, Diptyque's holiday collection. Someone please send help! Lol!

What did you love, hate, or pine after this week? Did you buy anything new and fun? I'd love to know what has been on your radar!

I've failed to take photos of what I wore this week, but I am happy to say that I wore makeup (even just a little!) nearly every day this week. Woohoo!

Posts This Week:  All You Need is Cleansing Water // Koh Gen Do Moisture Concealer vs Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage // Obsession: Beautannia Columbia Road Candle // Go Natural with Sarabecca Day & Night Perfumes // October Empties

Products I Loved: Laura Mercier's Caviar Sticks are topping my list. Super convenient, perfect for everyday, and such a great range of colors. Look out for a post soon, on my whole collection of them!

Product Disappointments: Nothing this week, though I think something in my skincare routine is maybe making my eye makeup a bit... melty? Or maybe I should just use primer haha!

Beauty Purchases: My fiance offered a budget for shopping, so I ordered some Neom and Rouge Bunny Rouge. Both brands are new to me, so I am so excited to try them. I also cashed in some of the Sephora store credits I've been saving, and have been picking up lots of goodies at the Sephora VIB sale.

Added to the Wishlist: I spotted a set of L'artisan Parfumeur Travel Sprays and I am SO tempted to order it before the sale ends. Seems like a stellar deal, and I've been so curious about the brand. I need to order this for science, right? LOL!

What has been on your radar this week??? Also, don't forget to enter my Space NK giveaway before midnight Central Time tonight! Enter here. :)

What I Wore, #20

Sometimes I wonder when I'll ever finish any makeup product, with how often I put on makeup for everyday. Oh well, I'm working on it. :) Here's a peek at what I wore a few days this week.

Tom Ford She Wolf, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, Koh Gen Do Moisture Concealer, Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Clinique Super Fine Liner for Brows, By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon

Tom Ford She Wolf, Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage, Koh Gen Do Moisture Concealer, Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, Clinique Super Fine Liner for Brows, By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon

I've posted about Tom Ford She Wolf (here) and I'm currently testing out the Koh Gen Do Moisture Concealer and Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in hopes of offering a comparison soon. By Terry's Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon is also an exciting new addition, and the Clinique and Nars have been long time favorites.

Posts This Week: Lush Fair Trade Honey Shampoo // Fall Look Featuring Tom Ford // The October Sampler // September Beauty Purchases // Empties #5 // Worth the Splurge? Tom Ford She Wolf

Products I Loved: As I'm working through my sample stash for the October Sampler, I've discovered that I quite like the Jack Black Epic Moisture Body Hydrator. It is lightly scented, not greasy to apply, and very comforting on my skin. I'm also liking the Chantecaille Jasmine & Lily Healing Mask, though I'm not sure if I like it enough to spend $79 on it just yet.

Product Disappointments: Nothing this week that I felt too disappointed about!

Beauty Purchases: So far so good - I haven't bought anything! Wooohoo.

Added to the Wishlist: I spotted a jojoba oil at Trader Joe's, and then a set of hand creams that are packaged like L'Occitane. I'm curious to try them, so I may just have to pop them into my cart next time I'm there. I'm slowly adding Sephora Formula X polish and other holiday gift sets to my list too...

What products are on your radar this week? I'd love to know!

What I Wore, #19

by Joyce in

I managed to wear makeup a few days this week, though I never managed to take pictures daily of the products or looks... That can be a goal for this coming week, right?

My focus this week was testing out a few new to me products, namely the Tom Ford She Wolf Eyeshadow Trio, Chantecaille Sel, and Nars Radiant Cream Foundation which I reviewed here mid-week.

tom ford she wolf, clinique superfine liner for brows, chantecaille sel, nars smudgeproof eye primer, benefit eye bright

Posts This Week:  August Beauty Favorites // This Week's Makeup Bag, #15 // Love It or Toss It, #2 // A Jouer Eyeshadow Pairing // On the Fence: Nars Radiant Cream Foundation // I ♥ Tatcha Pure One Step Cleansing Oil // The Accessory: Ariella Collection // New! Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation & Illuminator

Products I Loved: I randomly rediscovered my Benefit Eye Bright, and I just love how it brightens the droopy corners of my eyes. I definitely need to use this more often. I want to say I'm in love with Tom Ford She Wolf, but I really want to test it out more before I rave about it and make you all run out and buy a very pricy eyeshadow trio! :-P

Product Disappointments: I was quite sad to discover I didn't like the Laura Mercier Radiance Primer, and in the end I decided to return the Nars Radiant Cream Foundation. If it is not absolute love, why keep it, right??

Beauty Purchases: I'm scared to admit... but the Space NK gift with purchase sucked me in. I ordered the Sai Sei Mineral Bath Crystals, By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon, and the Laura Mercier Cream Eyeshadow Detail Brush.  Thankfully, Gummy and I decided to split the GWP, so I didn't let myself go crazy with my wishlist. I also picked up a Nails Inc Gel Polish and Bite Lip Primer... Can't wait for the mail to arrive!

Added to the Wishlist: I'm really liking the look of those Koh Gen Do Aqua Illuminators, in particular the beige one. I also want to swatch just about ALL of the Armani Rouge Ecstasy lipsticks...!

So there's my week in beauty for you - what have you been up to? Any product loves or disappointments? Have you bought anything fun or added anything lust-worthy to your wishlist?

What I Wore, #18

by Joyce in

Last week, I revived my weekly makeup bag selection in hopes that I could manage more makeup this week. Sadly, I wasn't terribly successful! I managed concealer one day, some eyeliner a few days, and really that was it! Instead, I'll leave you with a few Instagram shots of my last few weeks. Do be sure to follow me there and say hello if you are an Instagram fan!

Products I Loved: Nothing really sparked my interest this week, sadly, especially since I didn't use much. Last weekend I really loved my Armani lipstick in 103, and was happy to rediscover that!

Product Disappointments:  I had purchased the Koh Gen Do Moisture Spa Gel from the Hautelook sale a few weeks ago, and I fear that I don't like it at all. It has a super neat light texture, but it just seems to feel sticky on my face. :(

Beauty Purchases:  I just hit check out on Tom Ford She Wolf... Oops. (But I can't help it!) I also ordered a Murad spot treatment and grabbed a First Aid Beauty Aloe Gel from the sale section...

Added to the Wishlist: Tom Ford She Wolf was definitely on the list, but the other beauty item that is at the top of the list is Bite Cashmere Lip Cream in Sancerre. I'm curious to try some cuticle remover too, so Sally Hansen and Deborah Lippmann's offerings have made it onto my list. And I'm still hankering for some Aesop Parsley Seed stuff and the ByTerry Ombre Blackstar eyeshadow sticks. On the accessory front, I still desperately want the Alexander Wang Brenda Bag in Mink.

What's been on your radar this past week or two? Anything you're loving? I'd love to know!

What I Wore, #17

by Joyce in

This past week, I tried (and subsequently failed) to wear makeup everyday. I really relied on a few of my favorites, as you can see below. I even have a terrible pre-haircut car selfie for you too!

I know I haven't really posted this weekly recap for a while, so read on for some of my latest product highlights! :)

Products I Loved: Maison Francis Kurkdjian Aqua Universalis - it is the most beautiful light fragrance everrrr. I've also been quite enamored with my Lancome Baume in Love, and I just dug out a little tube of Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint and find it to be quite nice so far!

Product Disappointments: You may have seen my disappointing products post recently, but I was also not thrilled with the Korres Greek Yoghurt Advanced Nourishing Primer. Sad, as I have quite loved the Sleeping Facial from the same line!

Recently Purchased: After making a few returns at Sephora, I grabbed a few other goodies I had my eyes on. I'm pumped to add the Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Stick in Plum to my collection, and I finally landed on the pretty pink Dior Addict lipstick in Diorkiss. I also picked up the Hourglass Illume Creme-to-Powder Duo in Sunset, which seems to have better lasting power than Bronze Light, which was a bit disappointing last year!

Added to the Wishlist: On the beauty front, there are a few brands from Space NK that I would love to get my hands on - Sai Sei, and Rodial. I'm also really wanting the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector pressed powder, and one of those fancy By Terry Ombre Blackstar eyeshadow sticks. On the designer bag front, I've crossed off the Givenchy Pandora in favor of this gorgeous minky gray Alexander Wang I spotted at Nordstrom. (The Brenda Camera, to be specific!) I also quite like the look of the 3.1 Philip Lim Mini Pashli, so I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for a neat color combination.

So there you have it! What have you been loving or lusting after? Did you add any new goodies to your stash this week, or wear any pretty looks you're loving? Do share! :)

P.S. A few sample empties and July favorites will be coming soon!

What I Wore, #16

by Joyce in

This past week, I had high hopes for wearing makeup, but as usual, I didn't really wake up in time most days of the week. I did play with some great shades from the Lush Emotional Brilliance* line, but otherwise didn't really manage much except foundation or concealer on a day or two.

Products I Loved: I recently received Lush Ultrabland Cleanser*, and I am definitely impressed so far. My non beauty love is Lupicia Tea. I forgot how much I really liked the Muscat Black Tea, and have found so many new ones to try!

Product Disappointments: Nothing this week, though I am a bit disappointed I haven't used up more products, ha!

Added to the Wishlist: To the wish list of designer bags I will never have, I've added the Givenchy Medium Pandora Messenger along with the Chanel 2.55 which has been a dream for ages. Well, I suppose I could suddenly become incredibly wealthy. LOL! :-P

What have you been up to this week? Any products you loved or lusted after? Do share!

Products marked with * were provided for review. As always, all opinions are my own!

What I Wore, #15

by Joyce in

This past week, I only managed to wear makeup really on one day to go out for a belated birthday dinner. I'm not counting the morning I managed a bit of tinted moisturizer, because as my friends tell me, that doesn't count! Here's a look at what I wore!

Giorgio Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Eyeliner in #2, Diptyque Eau Rose, Giorgio Armani Maestro Eraser in #4, YSL Creme de Blush in #4 Audacious Orange, Diorshow iconic Overcurl Mascara, Diorhshow Maximizer Primer Serum, Hourglass Lipstick in Ballet, Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in St. Moritz, Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Holy Smokes (not shown)

Giorgio Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Eyeliner in #2, Diptyque Eau Rose, Giorgio Armani Maestro Eraser in #4, YSL Creme de Blush in #4 Audacious Orange, Diorshow iconic Overcurl Mascara, Diorhshow Maximizer Primer Serum, Hourglass Lipstick in Ballet, Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in St. Moritz, Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Holy Smokes (not shown)

Products I Loved: I was SO excited to discover that the Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Pencil in brown didn't make my eyes itch! YAY! I totally love the black one - so smooth, creamy, and budgeproof - but unfortunately black waterproof liners have made my eyes itch lately.  I'm pretty sure that this eyeliner is my favorite one EVER!

Product Disappointments: I am trying out a sample of Diptyque Precious OIl, and while it is quite a nice scent and luxurious feeling product, it isn't doing much for me in the bath or on my body when it comes to hydration. Bummer, though it is a relief that I won't want to shell out the money for it.

Added to the Wishlist: I really want to see the Dior and Chanel cream blushes, but I didn't spot them at the counter when I wandered by today. I'll have to do some research on what stores have it in stock for me to play with!

So, what have you been up to this past week? What products did you love or add to your wishlist? I'd love to know!
